Diane (Dee) Burman

Overview:

In 2004, Dee Burman and Shirley Brussell launched the “RetireRight Center,”™ a non-profit organization devoted to educating pre- and post-retirees in the “Art of Retirement.” The Center provides a full program of services including workshops, individualized retirement coaching and networking and support groups.

Before the advent of the “RetireRight Center,”™ Ms. Burman was engaged as an independent human resources consultant and Principal of Dee Burman and Associates, a management consulting firm, specializing in organization development and career management. Previous to establishing her own company, Dee was a Vice President in Human Resources at the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago, where she functioned as the Manager of Career Development for the Bankcorp. Dee designed and implemented the Bank’s “Development Center” in 1989 as a resource to all employees and managers for career planning, career counseling and redeployment. She was also involved in projects that supported management development, team building, diversity management and quality improvement initiatives.

Dee was also founder and first President of the Organization Development Network of Chicago. She has served for many years on the Board of the Vassar College Club of Chicago, as the Director of the Career Assistance Committee.
