Joan P. Brannick, Ph.D., SPHR

Overview: Dr. Brannick is an industrial psychologist who consults, writes, and speaks on employee assessment, selection, and retention. She works with organizations to help them improve their bottom line through effective and efficient recruitment, hiring, and employee development strategies and actions. She authored and co-authored several books Finding and Keeping Great Employees, a Fortune Magazine "Best Business Book." Her insights on assessment, hiring and retention best practices have appeared in many online and print publications including CNN Financial News, CIO Magazine, Fortune Magazine, HR Magazine, and Journal of Business and Strategy. She is actively involved in several professional organizations including the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, the National Speakers Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management. Dr. Brannick received her Bachelor degrees in Management and Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Diane (Dee) Burman

Overview: In 2004, Dee Burman and Shirley Brussell launched the “RetireRight Center,”™ a non-profit organization devoted to educating pre- and post-retirees in the “Art of Retirement.” The Center provides a full program of services including workshops, individualized retirement coaching and networking and support groups. Before the advent of the “RetireRight Center,”™ Ms. Burman was engaged as an independent human resources consultant and Principal of Dee Burman and Associates, a management consulting firm, specializing in organization development and career management. Previous to establishing her own company, Dee was a Vice President in Human Resources at the Harris Trust and Savings Bank in Chicago, where she functioned as the Manager of Career Development for the Bankcorp. Dee designed and implemented the Bank’s “Development Center” in 1989 as a resource to all employees and managers for career planning, career counseling and redeployment. She was also involved in projects that supported management development, team building, diversity management and quality improvement initiatives.
Dee was also founder and first President of the Organization Development Network of Chicago. She has served for many years on the Board of the Vassar College Club of Chicago, as the Director of the Career Assistance Committee. (Click here for more details about Dee Burman.)

Nancy A. Newton, Ph.D.

Overview: Dr. Newton is professor at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She teaches organizational behavior, workplace coaching, individual assessment, and motivation/leadership in the MA program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology and the PsyD program in Business Psychology. Dr. Newton is a licensed clinical psychologist who has over 30 years of experience as a psychotherapist, professor, organizational consultant, and business owner. She has served in senior administrative positions in academic and mental health organizations, owned and managed small businesses, and provided consultation to senior managers of Fortune 500 companies, small business owners, and executives negotiating career transitions. Diane L. Sanders

Overview: Diane L. Sanders, a senior partner in CCI-Human Captial Consulting, works with companies across a broad range of industries to improve organizational effectiveness. She has over 25 years of experience in the field of organizational development and workforce development and specializes in working with executives and managers to identify self-defeating behaviors and replace them with those that enhance their productivity and satisfaction. Prior to opening her own firm she spent 15 years as a Human Resource Development Executive in the Aerospace Industry. Joseph A. Walsh, Ph.D.

Overview: Joseph A. Walsh, Ph.D. is an emeritus dean and professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Social Work. He has been a psychotherapist, trainer, consultant and professor over the course of his 38 years in the profession. For the past 20 years Dr. Walsh has focused on both the nonprofit and for profit business sector where he has conducted research and provided coaching, training and team building to global companies, smaller businesses and university sector.
